Keep It Simple

Over the last year or so, one builder that we work with has been buying nothing but Cedar Raised Panel Shutters. In another part of town, a different builder has been using nothing but Redwood Flat Panel Shutters. Are either of these the right choice for your house? Probably not. Year after year, we see shutter styles come and go in the new home market, and in some years shutters all but disappear from new designs. This is just the way that the new home market works.

For most of us with traditional homes, the same old tried and true styles are what will work best on our homes.
Plain old Louvered Exterior Shutters and Raised Panel Exterior Shutters have been architectural staples for hundreds of years, and we continue to put those shutter styles on homes that are that old, as well as on homes that were built last week.

The point of this is that although there are numerous shutter choices available to you, in most cases the style of your home will narrow the options down to no more than 2 or 3 options, making your decision on what style of Wooden Exterior Shutter to use far less taxing than it might appear to be. Don’t be overwhelmed by the choices you see out there. We are here to help you narrow the field and make a decision.
